As a cinematographer and producer, Gabe has documented the Baltimore Uprising and the Black Lives Matter movement for the last two years in his hometown of Baltimore. In October 2015, Gabe began helping film a feature documentary for HBO called Baltimore Rising about the death of Freddie Gray and the Baltimore Uprising. Gabe co-directed and shot a feature documentary titled Pyne Poynt about a little league coached by ex-convicts in Camden, NJ, America's most dangerous and poorest city.

Whether it’s exploring the jungles of Costa Rica, a township in South Africa, or documenting a protest on the streets of Baltimore, Gabe is a dedicated storyteller who enjoys capturing the human connection wherever he goes.

Gabe has had his work published by HBO, NETFLIX, A&E, The New York Times, The Guardian, VICE News Tonight, TIME, Entertainment Weekly, and Comedy Central among other outlets. Dinsmoor recently won Panasonic’s Share Your Vision Contest in Non-Fiction and was selected as a Saul Zaentz Film & Media Fellow.
